After Days Without Cable and Internet, I Have Risen

Hello everyone, I'm sure you have noticed that I have been inactive the last few days. I haven't written a Daily Huddle since Christmas Day I believe.

On Saturday morning, the modem in my house just died. Completely dead. We countered that with our phone hotspots for a little bit, but shortly ran out of data on our phone plan. I don't know how, in the 21st century, we can survive with no TV or internet for multiple days, but somehow I did it. The worst part about it all was me and my family trying to solve it. We went to Best Buy and talked to one of the employees there to see what modem-router we could buy to use with our ISP and he claimed they didn't carry any that would work with our ISP. Not only did my parents just not believe him, but then we went to Staples and bought a modem-router that we were told, by the BestBuy employee, would not be compatible with our service. Guess what. It didn't work.

After a couple of days, we had our ISP send a tech expert to our house to replace the modem-router, so I am back in action.

Obviously, with no internet, I couldn't get my laptop to connect to the WiFi to write, and with no internet, we have no cable TV. So I could barely even watch most of the games that happened over the weekend if it weren't for the generosity of my friends. I was lucky enough to get the invite to a pal's house to watch RedZone, and forgot my laptop, so I couldn't blog about the NFL that day.

All in all, it was a frustrating experience, but it is over and I am back. I probably won't have a Daily Huddle today, but there's a chance I touch on the Celtics' game if I deem it worthy of a blog.

I will be back tomorrow to cover some NBA. I will see you all then!
