The new dark comedy, I Care A lot, featuring Rosamund Pike and Peter Dinklage released on Netflix last week, and some mixed reviews followed it. IMDb rounded out at a 6.3, with Metascore gave it a 66. Barstool's movie podcast, Lights Camera Barstool, however, ended up in the high 80s range for the flick: a pretty significant difference in opinion. Not only that, social media users are actively expressing their negative views on the movie (more so than they usually do).
Okay, but should YOU watch it?
I say yes.
Is it a perfect movie? absolutely not. In fact, its quite far from it. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The main plot line is creative enough to keep you engaged, but the most entertaining part of it is how you don't like a single character in the whole movie. Literally everyone in this movie is a P.O.S., and it's very enjoyable to hate all of them. Essentially, it's about two groups of awful people going at it until someone wins. It is really just a movie filled with antagonists, and the writing even gets you to root for one or two of them. I mean, how could you not root for Peter Dinklage? I personally think J Blakeson did a great job of writing an original story, which is something we don't get very often nowadays.
JB's Rating: 78

P.S... might be one of the more satisfying endings to a movie that we'll see this year
